24th February.

Made Napa by sunset. We lost Bernie on the 5, he just disappeared from the rear view mirrors. Couldn't raise him on the radio and guess what - we haven't got him a phone! So we kept going and finally got a text message from the office in Australia - Bernie blew a tire on the Coachman and was at a repair shop. We said we'd see him for steaks at Mark's place. Glad to get this stuff sorted out before we start the real run from Yellowknife. We can't afford any delays on the road as I have to run two marathons every day no matter what, no delays. Dinner time and Mark dialed up a sensational dinner and pulled out some unbelievable wines including a 1969 Robert Mondavi Cab Sav in honor of he and Greg's birth year. Awesome drop with ribeye. Thanks Mark!
